My attempt at a mascot for SEGA's contest. I don't really expect Ms. Berody here to win, but she certainly was fun to make :)

Submition for Sega's Mascot Design contest. Tales or an anagram for Tesla. A small flying engineer robotwhich spread energy wires from her coil and use it for various tasks (repairg, hacks, etc...)

This is Halia! She is a strange robo-ish creature based on a number of SEGA's merchandise and historical aspects! She stands about 5'3'' and has orange pixel shaped eyes! Her color scheme is white and blue like the logo; and her speakers have a gradient sunset color scheme- featuring hibiscus flower markings to represent SEGA's origins as company based in Hawaii in 1940 (She has the number 40 drawn on her speakers too!) A number of other little inspirations are listed on her reference sheet. A Mascot needs reason and symbolism to represent! As a side note; she has a tail plug because when she is plugged into an electrical outlet her eyes can turn into screens (As listed in the ref sheet) to display a video or game! I am willing to collaborate and edit the character if needed if she is chosen. I worked really hard on her and I' am still so enthralled that an opportunity like this arose! I am working hard in Art College to become a Video Game Concept Artist!

Travelling back in time towards the beginning in SEGA's game-making career, Punching Bag became one of their first arcade games back in 1960. In 1976, Heavyweight Champ was released by SEGA as one of their first video games in the arcade. With these significant origins of SEGA being deeply influenced by the sport of Boxing, Seji Gaio enters the ring! Seji is, as one would guess, a kangaroo. He is very energetic, never shying away from proving himself, while he is also very pure of heart, willing to look out for the welfare of others. At times, Seji might be seen as rather prideful and overzealous, though that is merely speculation as it is all done in parody. Seji also carries a very persevering attitude, not willing to give up any fight no matter what, regardless if it's physical or mental. Seji Gaio is my personal attempt at making a sub-mascot intent on reliving the history of SEGA, while carrying the spirit rather reminiscent of the true mascot of SEGA, Sonic the Hedgehog. Enjoy!

Terebishoujo-san would be SEGA Japan's mascot, and Reimouto-inu, her TV remote dog (and "little sister") would assist her. TVshoujo-san's design was inspired by the SEGA Dreamcast Diver edition and incorporates SEGA's signature white, blue, and grey, (as well as Sonic the Hedgehog's gold rings) representing the retro genre that won Sega its fame while exemplifying the cute and new-age animation characters that audiences have come to know and love. If I had to describe the way her voice sounds in my mind, it would be "it sounds similar to the voice of an automated Shinkansen announcer on the subways in Japan."

English SEGIRL is my mascot design for SEGA. She not only has the SEGA logo emblazoned on her hat and shirt, but she also dons everyone's favorite blue blur, Sonic the Hedgehog. Coloration is up to SEGA if this entry wins.
